In creating Acqua Di Gioia, Armani reminisced on the holidays he spent on carribean island Antigua, where he recalled enjoying the summer heat and the sounds of the waves in the ocean, the water crystal blue and clear shining brightly from the sun's glare. The fragrance launched in June 2010 and was developed by perfumes Anne Flipo, Loc Dong, and Dominique Ropion. The fragrance opens with refreshing mint leaves and lemon, combining with citrusy notes and closing with base notes cedar, sugar and labdanum.
